2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

The 2011 version of the world’s most successful GT racer had its international premiere at Weissach this month. The upgraded Porsche 911 GT3 RSR appeared at the ‘Night of Champions’ party – held to mark the end of the 2010 motorsport season.

The key changes are in the front and rear aerodynamics and the suspension, plus there’s an extra five horsepower for the 4.0-litre, six-cylinder boxer engine, which now delivers 455HP at 7800rpm. A new front lip provides more downforce and the front wheels are wider – up from 11 to 12 inches. At the rear, the wing has been subtly developed and the RSR is now equipped with the LED rear lights from the latest 911 road cars. The 2011 GT3 RSR is available to order at a price of 410,000 euros plus taxes. The 2011 modifications can also be purchased as an upgrade kit for the 2010 model.
