The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG occupies a unique place in modern Mercedes-AMG history. Conceived, developed and built entirely by AMG, it was the first series-production automobile developed independently by the brand. Its combination of a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8, transaxle architecture and unmistakable gullwing doors—an intentional nod to the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL—has established the SLS as one of the defining modern AMG models.

Delivered new in Germany to its first and only owner, this particular SLS was ordered in the special colour AMG Le Mans Red, paired with a special-order Designo Exclusive Light Brown leather interior. The striking exterior finish is particularly evocative of AMG’s motorsport heritage, recalling the red competition cars of the marque’s formative years, including the legendary 300 SEL 6.8 that famously won the 1971 Spa 24 Hours.

Its factory specification is equally noteworthy, including AMG Ceramic Brakes, 10-spoke forged AMG wheels, Bang & Olufsen sound system, memory seats and a fire extinguisher, among other options.

With just 20,107 kilometres from new, the car has remained under the care of its sole owner since delivery. It retains its original factory paint, is accident-free and presents in remarkably original, unmodified condition. Maintenance has been carried out exclusively through the official Mercedes-Benz network, and the car is accompanied by its original leather pouch with manuals, as well as the AMG car cover.

Today, this SLS presents in outstanding original condition, combining exceptionally low mileage and single ownership with an evocative factory colour combination, highly desirable specification and fully documented official service history. As the first independently developed production model from Mercedes-AMG, the SLS has already secured its place among the marque’s modern classics, and examples retaining this level of originality and provenance are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
