Beschreibung
Founded in 1929 in Butler, Pennsylvania, American Austin remains historic for producing one of America’s first economy cars – a license-built version of England’s Austin Seven. With coachwork designed by award-winning stylist Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky, the American Austin Roadster was a small, economical, and stylish automobile.
Formerly owned by a California marque enthusiast and purchased by Mark Smith in April 2012, this delightful Roadster from the model’s debut year sports an elegant two-tone paint finish and features whitewall tires, twin accessory driving lamps, and a chrome-mesh grille guard. In addition to a file of correspondence and ownership information, this charming prewar classic is accompanied by a copy of an Austin Bantam Instruction Book. An unusual sight today, this 1930 American Austin Roadster offers a wonderful way to enjoy the classic car hobby.
