Jaeger-LeCoultre Géographique

The first Jaeger-LeCoultre workshop was established in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre, in Le Sentier, Switzerland. In 1844, JLC produced the 'Millionomètre', the first instrument that can measure the micrometre, which is the one-millionth of a metre. In 1928, the company presented the Atmos clock, a masterpiece of mechanics which needs no battery or physical winding - instead, it draws power from small temperature changes. In 1956, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox was introduced, becoming the first automatic alarm wristwatch. Since 2000, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been a member of the Richemont Group.
