This is one of the most successful T33's built by Autodelta, having achieved Alfa Romeo's first championship win since 1951 at the 1971 Brand's Hatch 1,000km race finishing in front of the dominant and more powerful Porsche 917s and Ferrari 512s. The car was originally built for the 1970 season and had a 3rd place in Sebring before crashing out at Le Mans. Rebuilt and modified extensively for the 1971 season, the car had great success at the hands of De Adamich, Pescarolo and Van Lennep among other greats including a 2nd place at the Targa Florio and class wins at both Sebring and Spa.
