Beschreibung

Chassis# DB5/1336/L
Engine# 400/1295

This very early example of an Aston Martin DB5 Saloon is one of 899 in the world and one of only 42 finished in Fiesta Red making it particularly rare. Originally trimmed in White Gold (the only DB5 in the world in this colour combination) this DB5 has received a recent full retrim in Black Leather. As is common with many cars of this age, this particular DB5 no longer bears its original engine, but an overhauled engine that, today, runs incredibly well. As per the original specification of the car, the 4.0 litre straight-six engine is mated to a four-speed with overdrive manual gearbox.

Having originally been sold in 1963 to a gentleman in Sussex, UK, despite the specification of a left-hand drive, this example was last taxed in the UK in October 1993. Subsequently, the DB5 has made its way to continental Europe, to Tennessee and New York City in the United States and then onto new ownership in the Middle East before returning to the United Kingdom, by now having had a full restoration and retrim.

Chassis 1336 is a superb example of an early DB5, finished in a rare colour, complete with Lucas spotlights and fitted with the four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

As with every Heritage Aston Martin offered for sale, this DB5 is supplied fully prepared by Aston Martin Works Technicians, with an Aston Martin Assured Provenance Certificate of Authenticity and a 1-year warranty.
