The Maserati A6GCS Berlinetta is an automotive work of art. Ironically, however, it was born out of racing frustration. When torrential rains wreaked havoc on the 1952 edition of the Mille Miglia, making handling of previous A6 models a challenge, racing drivers pushed Maserati for improvements. One solution was to fit a Maserati 2000 Sport with a closed “Berlinetta” body from Pinin Farina. The resulting masterpiece was first presented at the Turin Motor Show of 1954. With only four Pinin Farina models ever created, the A6GCS Berlinetta occupies a special place in automotive history. The Ferrari 412P showed strength during the 1967 racing season and the car proved this during its 24 Hours race at the Daytona race track in the US. Battered and bruised after a long race, this car proved itself to be the best by beating out Ferrari’s rival, Ford, and taking first place. The Ferrari 250 GTO featured on this blue car poster took part in some of the most well renowned races of all time, and in 1964 it finished strong in the Targa Florio – one of the toughest endurance events in the world. Uniquely, the car was painted blue and yellow to represent its Swedish driver, Ulf Norinder. Few cars are held in such high regard as the Ferrari 250 GTO. Created between 1962-1964 by a team led by Giotto Bizzarrini, each buyer of the 39 produced had to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari – and today, the prestige has only intensified. Automobilist has released Helmet Design Poster featuring former Formula 1 driver turned presenter, commentator, and journalist David Coulthard. Created in partnership with Coulthard to celebrate his career with 13 wins, 62 podiums, and 2001 Vice-World Championship Title. The Design Poster features the very same Arai helmet he wore at the infamous 2000 French Grand Prix he won with the West McLaren Mercedes, the team he raced for from 1997 to 2004. The blue and white striped saltire helmet, set on the same background, pay homage to his birthplace of Scotland.

McLaren Racing and Automobilist cooperated to design a series of posters to commemorate the career of Fernando Alonso, who has raced a Formula 1 car for the last time at the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix following his retirement. The trio of posters depict the two-time World Champion at the wheel of his 2018-season McLaren MCL33, and his distinctive helmet in its blue, yellow and red colours.
