Chassis No. CT-3710-6
A familiar face in the early days of SCCA racing, the handsome TR4 enjoyed many competition successes thanks to the strong support by Triumph for its amateur racers and the visionary leadership by their Director of Motorsports for the United States, R.W. 'Kas' Kastner. This TR4 is a true, vintage racer with SCCA log book history dating back to 1972 with entries listed at Pocono, Bridgehampton, Lime Rock, and Nelson Ledges. Like most vintage racing cars it has been modified over the years to remain competitive. It currently features a stripped competition interior complete with a full roll cage and ARP racing seat including a four-point harness. Professionally built, the consignor of this TR4 stated that not only was it quick but built 'strong as hell' with two SVRA log books showing action as a vintage racer from the mid-1990s until 2007. As a final flourish, the dashboard bears a plaque featuring the builder's name, James Bowler, as well as the signature of Triumph legend 'Kas' Kastner. With vintage racing fast becoming a popular entry into competitive motorsport finding a true, period, vintage racer with known history is becoming much more difficult and, as such, this TR4 offers history, competitive speed, and style.
