Few Japanese performance cars of the 1990s offer quite the same combination of character, usability and outright entertainment as the second-generation Toyota MR2. With its compact, mid-engined layout, sharp styling and eager turbocharged engine, the SW20 remains one of the most distinctive sports cars of its era, especially in the desirable Turbo specification. With its low centre of gravity and mid-engined balance, the MR2 delivers genuinely engaging handling, while its relatively compact dimensions make it equally suited to enthusiastic driving and everyday use.
