The story of the Rover Mini begins in 1959, when this revolutionary little car was developed by the legendary engineer Sir Alec Issigonis. Under the banner of the British Motor Corporation (BMC), the Mini was designed as an answer to the oil crisis and the demand for compact, efficient mobility. The result was a car that changed the motoring world forever: a transverse engine, front-wheel drive and maximum interior space within a minimal body.

The Mini quickly grew into a cultural icon. Not only thanks to its clever engineering, but also thanks to its sporting achievements. The Mini Cooper models in particular dominated rallying in the sixties, with victories in, among others, the legendary Monte Carlo Rally.

In 1994, exactly 35 years after the Mini was introduced, Rover released a special anniversary version: the Rover Mini 35th Anniversary Edition. This exclusive model was produced to celebrate the success and rich history of the Mini. Characteristic of this version are the luxurious finish, unique details and the classic colour scheme that perfectly suits the car's British character.

Today, these anniversary models are highly sought after among collectors and enthusiasts. They represent not only a special moment in Mini history, but also the final years of the classic Mini before BMW completely reinvented the brand.
