Beschreibung

The Silver Cloud debuted in 1955 and, three years later, the Series II model followed, carrying a little more weight and touting the leviathan 6.2-litre V-8 engine with power steering, increased torque, and acceleration with a top speed of 114 mph.

The accompanying build sheet for this Silver Cloud II, dated September 12, 1959, indicates that the car was delivered in Steel Blue with single ivory profile lines, a beige hide interior, and fawn headcloth and carpet. It carried US specifications such as electric windows, special glass, whitewall tires, and “refrigeration.” The Rolls-Royce was owned by Dr. George Kirkham of Florida from 2005 to 2011, followed by Glen McGuire of Burbank, California, who kept it until early 2019, when it was purchased by the current owner following a thorough inspection and servicing. At that time, the Silver Cloud II had 84,831 miles on the odometer, according to the Bill of Sale supporting the consignor’s purchase. In summer 2019, the Rolls-Royce was examined by Classic Motor Cars of Oxnard, California, who replaced the water pump, adjusted the brakes, and installed a new windshield washer pump.

This handsome Silver Cloud offers a superbly comfortable ride with spacious passenger compartment, abundant luggage space, a cached spare wheel in the rear compartment, and a distinguished pedigree clearly embossed on its data plate.
