Porsche previewed the Touring Package's ethos with the limited-edition 911 R in 2016, then made it an official GT3 option in 2017. Carried through into the 992 line from June 2021, the facelifted 992.2 arrived on 18 October 2024, just as the GT3 nameplate, introduced with the homologated 996 GT3 in 1999, turned 25. This latest version retained the 4.0-liter flat-six producing 510 PS at 8,400 rpm with an astonishing 9,000-rpm redline for a production streetcar.
The Touring trades the standard GT3's fixed swan-neck wing for a spoiler that rises automatically at speed, with a body-colored front fascia and painted mirror housings softening its profile. As Porsche said when introducing the Touring, it "will not be instantly recognizable to everyone on the road. But that is precisely what increases its puristic appeal."
This Swiss-market example was built on 20 June 2025 and specified with the desirable six-speed manual transmission. A carbon-fiber roof and carbon-skin headliner, center-lock wheels, a lithium-ion battery, Sport Chrono Plus, rear-axle steering, and a Torque Vectoring differential complete its sporting specification. It presents in Deep Black Pearl paintwork, with a Black cloth and leather interior, showing just 3,994 kilometers at the time of cataloging.
A manual GT3 Touring asks more of its driver than the paddle-shifted alternative and rewards the effort with a connection few sports cars match, even the wing-equipped GT3. Porsche quotes the manual car at under four seconds to 100 km/h and 313 km/h flat out. Both are figures that undersell how alive the flat six feels as it nears its redline. Subtly alluding to the performance that awaits, this is a GT3 built to slip past unnoticed, until it's asked to prove otherwise.
