Beschreibung
"The Porsche 911/996 Carrera 4S is fast becoming one of the most desirable 996 models, given its wide turbo body looks and still remaining very affordable in the modern classic world. It offers a thrilling driving experience and is powered by 3.6 litre flat-six engine, producing a highly respectable 316bhp. This engine was paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Tiptronic automatic. The car was also fitted with an all-wheel drive system, giving it excellent traction and handling in any conditions. The 996 Carrera 4S has a top speed of 174mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars in its class.
This iconic Carrera 4S 911 is presented in Seal Grey with contrasting leather trim, a non-sunroof manual example of the widebody 996, this 4S is fast becoming a real favourite with collectors being a non turbo, manual widebody example of the first water cooled 911. This particular example presents excellently with little sign of the wear many other 996’s suffer from, the body work is clean and the seat bolsters good perhaps due to having had just five previous owners. Recently fully serviced by Porsche Torque, this car has also had a bore scope test and shows no evidence of burning oil. The service booklet shows a further 10 services from Specialist Porsche
Purchased new on 13th April 2002, some 20 years ago now, this example was specified with an uprated Bose sound system and cost £63,443. South of the iconic Turbo S or GT3 models, this is seen as the true 996 drivers car, the rigidity of a non-sunroof coupé with the iconic 3.6 litre flat-six coupled to a manual gear box which is streaks ahead of the comparable Tiptronic all wrapped up in the turbo widebody.
