The Porsche 356 Speedster is one of the world’s most iconic sports cars, and since its production release many companies have developed kits to fit the Volkswagen Beetle.

This replica is fitted with a chassis derived from the modified 1968 Beetle Cabriolet, which was re-registered as a one-off in 2001 and registered with ASI after being exported to Germany in 1990.

The car is correctly labelled as an “open” body and unique model.

It is registered as being built in 1968 and is a classic car in all respects retaining the Volkswagen chassis.

A careful and enthusiastic restoration had been started by the previous owner, starting with the chassis, which was first galvanised and then painted in the original “chassis black”. Fitted with completely new bottom.

The body follows the original proportions, is in very good condition and needs to be painted and finished to your taste, it has been temporarily placed on the chassis and fits perfectly.
The cage above the chassis is new.

All chrome trim is new, the wheels are new, the windscreen frame and windscreen are new.

An original Porsche 356 instrument set has been installed to maintain the car’s original look.

The engine is original “matching number”, as shown in the registration certificate (code F1), it is loose but has not been started.

The car needs to be finished restoring, but it’s a wonderful base with documents ready for transfer of ownership and many new parts that have already been purchased.
