The MGA in 1955 was the last MG to be based around the traditional design of separate chassis and body. The MGA is generally perceived as the first of the ‘modern’ MG models offering more comfort, room and certainly performance than the aged T series. The MGA also offered improved handling and a supremely comfortable ride.
This superb MGA fixedhead coupe was imported in rust free condition from California and a frame off restoration was carried out in Germany thereafter, with all work documented by a photographic report. The engine has been uprated to 1800cc, making this MG a very sporty little machine. To compensate for the extra power, disc brakes have been fitted to the front on this now very quick car.
