Beautiful example of Mercedes 500 SL (R107), sold in Rimini in 1988 in diamond blue metallic color with blue leather interior, with automatic 4-speed gearbox.

Mechanics in order, as well as the interior and bodywork. The hard top is present, also in the same state of conservation as the car, as well as the tools, the jack and the spare wheel.

This is the evolution of the W113, the "Pagoda" from which it inherited the characteristic concave hard roof to which it owes its nickname: under the roof, however, everything was updated and adapted to the demanding US safety standards. The car was in fact enlarged in size and significantly strengthened: consequently the engines also became more powerful in order not to disadvantage the road behavior of this highly commercially successful spider, both in the USA and in the Old Continent. This example is fitted with the classic 245 horsepower eight-cylinder 5L engine equipped with mechanical injection, combined with the four-speed automatic gearbox.

The car, now with 150,000km, was purchased at the Duemila Ruote auction in 2016, after the previous owner bought it in 2005. Previously the car had few changes of ownership; it is delivered with complete chronological extract and service booklet.

Bellissimo esemplare di Mercedes 500 SL (R107), venduta a Rimini nel 1988 nel colore diamond blue metallic con interni in pelle blue, con cambio automatico.

Meccanica in ordine, così come gli interni e la carrozzeria. Presente l’hard top, anch’esso nel medesimo stato di conservazione dell’auto, così come gli attrezzi, il cric e la ruota di scorta.

Si tratta dell’evoluzione della W113, la “Pagoda” da cui ereditò il caratteristico tetto rigido concavo a cui si deve il suo soprannome: sotto al tetto, invece tutto venne aggiornato ed adattato alle esigenti norme statunitensi in fatto di sicurezza. L’auto venne infatti ingrandita nelle dimensioni e notevolmente irrobustita: di conseguenza anche le motorizzazioni divennero più poderose per non svantaggiare il comportamento su strada di questa spider da grande successo commerciale, tanto negli USA quanto nel Vecchio Continente. In questo esemplare è montato il classico otto cilindri da 245 cavalli dotato di iniezione meccanica, abbinato al cambio automatico a quattro rapporti.

L'auto, ora con 150.000km, è stata acquistata all'asta Duemila Ruote nel 2016, dopo che la precedente proprietà l'ha acquistata nel 2005. Precedentemente l'auto ha avuto pochi passaggi di proprietà; viene consegnata con estratto cronologico completo, libretto tagliandi e CRS ASI.
