Beschreibung
Key Features of the 250 SL The 250 SL served as a "bridge" between the initial 230 SL and the later 280 SL. In addition to introducing 4-wheel disc brakes and a larger fuel tank, this model introduced the "California Coupé" body variant, which was characterized by the absence of the folding soft top to make room for a rear bench seat for children.
Sold new in Italy in the province of Rome, featuring its current color combination of metallic grey over blue leather interior, along with the extremely rare 5-speed manual transmission option (only 111 units produced). In 1988, it was subsequently sold to a new owner in Catania. The car has remained registered in Italy ever since, retains its period Catania license plates, and has had 4 owners from new.
In 2019, following minor damage to the front left side, the car was completely disassembled and underwent a full body and mechanical restoration. All work performed is thoroughly documented with photos and invoices. The vehicle comes complete with its original, unrestored Hard Top.
The car will be delivered fully serviced and with a 1-year warranty
