One of the most desirable classic cars of all time, the 300 SL Roadster combines timeless elegance with uncompromising engineering. Only 1,858 units were built between 1957 and 1963; this specific car was delivered new in 1959 in Dortmund, Germany, and subsequently spent many years in California before returning to Europe in 1991, where it has remained in private ownership ever since.

At some point in the past, the car received a factory replacement engine (*Austauschmotor*); it was professionally restored and repainted in 172 Grau—an original Mercedes color—and fitted with a beautiful brown leather interior. An extensive mechanical overhaul was carried out in 2008 (invoices available), and major maintenance was recently performed by LARO Sportwagen in 2025. Front disc brakes have been installed for improved driving comfort.

The 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection delivers its power smoothly and forcefully; the car drives superbly and is a true delight for both touring and concours events. It comes with a copy of the *Datenkarte* (data card) and an extensive file of invoices.
