A dream for the Jaguar collector or enthusiast

The magnificent 1958 Jaguar XK150 Fixed Head Coupe featured here is finished in the stunning factory color combination of Pearl Grey over a red leather interior. The accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate documents that this Fixed Head Coupe was completed by the Coventry Works on March 15th 1958 and was later dispatched to Jaguar Cars in New York on Apri 16th 1958. In 1970, this example was purchased by NBA star David Gambee, who was the 6th first round draft pick of the 1958 NBA draft. The 6’6” Forward was later part of the 1967 NBA Championship Philadelphia 76ers. Mr. Gambee meticulously maintained his prized Jaguar for 43 years at his home in Oregon, passing it on to its third owner in 2013. Today, it presents well, having previously been subject to some high quality restorative work, though a fair amount of originality is evident upon close inspection. Only 69,313 miles are present on the odometer; a number which corresponds to the accompanying service records that date back to 1977. Ready to make an investment you can actually enjoy? History of the Jaguar XK150
The XK150 was introduced in 1957 as the replacement for the XK140. As such, the new model bore a strong resemblance to the previous 140 and earlier 120 models. However, the XK150 was fitted with several stylistic upgrades including a one piece windshield, an evolved bonnet treatment and a more streamlined style treatment on the doors. The Fixed Head Coupe models were fitted with a front windscreen frame that was pushed forward four inches, thus improving entry and exit for both the driver and passenger. On the interior, the wood dash that was normally fitted on the previous models was now wrapped in leather. Thinner doors also created a more spacious interior. The 3.4 litre XK engine was initially utilized which included an improved cylinder head that resulted in 190 horsepower and a top speed that pushed 150mph. Today the performance and comfort of the XK150 has made them a very desirable car for vintage rally events by both collectors and enthusiasts.
