As one of only 3’899 examples built with the proven 4.2 litre inline 6 engine and left hand drive, this elegant Jaguar coupé was handed over to its first owner through Emil Frey AG in Safenwil on the 6th of April 1977. According to the service booklet and the emission control document he kept his noble Brit until approx. 2001/02 and in those years covered a total of around 123’000 kilometres. The coupé was then stored for some time until it was re-commissioned by an enthusiast in 2017. This included an overhaul of the ignition system and the carburettors and replacement of the cold-start system and the rear brake discs including callipers and pads. In July 2023 the Jaguar received its Veteran MOT before being taken over by the vendor in March 2024. He equipped the Jaguar with new tyres but soon realised that the car was just too big for him. He therefore has now decided to pass the Jaguar on to a new owner. The rare coupé has now covered 125’700 kilometres and it's in good to very good condition and will certainly provide a lot of enjoyment for many more years to a new owner.
