History:
This vehicle bears the serial number J63886933. It was delivered new to the United States in 1963 and was subsequently imported to France in 1999. It has been owned by the current owner since 2003. A comprehensive file of invoices dating from that year is available.
This car is currently in excellent condition. It was restored between 2010 and 2011 and has covered fewer than 10,000 kilometers since then.
The body is in excellent condition. It was restored in 2010. The Old English White paint is smooth and taut, with virtually no imperfections. The chrome-plated spoke wheels with wing nuts, typical of the Type E, are in excellent condition. The headlights, framed by their chrome rings and protected by their domed glass—a distinctive signature of the first series—are clear and flawless. The chrome on the bumpers, side turn signals, and body trim is beautifully polished.
Inside the cabin, the black leather interior is also in excellent condition. The original brushed aluminum dashboard, with its row of Smiths gauges (coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel, ammeter) and toggle switches labeled in English, is in fine condition. The dashboard instruments are functional, with the exception of the windshield washer and the ventilation control.
The 3.8-liter inline-6 engine starts and runs normally. The mechanical components were completely restored in 2013. The restoration invoices are available in the dedicated folder included with our listing. The four gears of the unsynchronized Moss manual transmission shift smoothly. The car handles very well on the road.
A file of invoices dating back to 2003 is included. Numerous repairs and maintenance tasks have been performed. The last service was performed in April 2026. The car is therefore up to date on its maintenance and ready to hit the road with its future owner.
