Presented at the Brussels Motor Show in 1969, the Ford Capri was a surprise from the start. It is possible to choose between different engines. The customer is offered three V4 engines (1300, 1500, 1700 cm3) and two V6 engines (2000 or 2300 cm3). In the UK, the catalogue limits the choice to two in-line 4-cylinders (1300 or 1600 cc) and one V4 (2000 cc). Towards the end of 1969, a new offer appeared in the British catalogue with the 3.0L V8 of the former Ford Zodiac.
