Ferrari's 296 GTB and GTS telegraphed Maranello's next steps toward its hybrid future as the brand's second model to feature plug-in hybrid technology after the SF90, and the company's first six-cylinder road car to wear the Prancing Horse badge. Its new 120-degree, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 paired with a 167-CV e-motor for a combined 830 CV at 8,000 rpm and 740 Nm of torque, enough for zero to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed beyond 330 km/h.

Offered in two body styles, the closed-roof 296 GTB presented the pure berlinetta silhouette, while the 296 GTS translated the concept into an open car without loss of design coherence. The GTS's power-retractable hardtop stowed neatly within the engine compartment and yielded a tail treatment that read as its own design rather than a simple roof-off conversion, marrying the model's compact proportions to a cleaner, more sculptural rear deck that nodded to the 250 LM's flying buttresses. A 7.45-kWh high-voltage battery allowed short journeys under electric power alone, while an 8,500-rpm limit preserved the sense of occasion expected of a mid-engined Ferrari.

Delivered new on 25 July 2025 by Eberlein Automobile GmbH, an official Ferrari dealer in Kassel, Germany, this 296 GTS was ordered with a restrained exterior, finished in Grigio Alloy, the metallic silver-grey paintwork set against Nero Opaco matte-painted wheels, Giallo Modena brake calipers, and black exhaust pipes. Further exterior specification includes "Scuderia Ferrari" shields on the fenders, a matte black rear Prancing Horse, and carbon-fiber sill kicks. A carbon-fiber upper tunnel completes the interior, while the equipment list includes surround-view cameras, front parking sensors, electrochromic exterior mirrors, adaptive headlights, a front suspension lifter, wireless smartphone charging, and Apple CarPlay.

The car returned to Eberlein Automobile for service on 3 June 2026 at 7,563 kilometers, when the pollen filter was renewed and an inspection carried out, both recorded on the stamped warranty card that accompanies the car today. Showing 10,961 kilometers at the time of cataloging and offered from its original owner, this 296 GTS pairs the open-air appeal of Ferrari's first six-cylinder road car with a cohesive and carefully judged specification.
