The 296 GTB ushered in a new era for mid-engine production Ferraris. After a decades-long tradition of V8 engines, the 296, introduced in June 2021, rekindled the spirit of the Dino via its mid-mounted V6. Making use of the latest F1-inspired technology, the 3.0-liter Tipo F163 features twin turbochargers and a plug-in hybrid system, producing a staggering 830 PS. It can cover up to 25 km on pure battery power, but of course, the electric motor's primary benefit is to boost performance. Sending power to the rear wheels via the dual-clutch 8-speed gearbox, the 296 sprints to 200 km/h in 7.3 seconds, storming on to a top speed of more than 330 km/h. All this technology is wrapped in a stunning body penned by Ferrari Centro Stile, with hints of the 250 LM in its curvaceous haunches, and it is considered among the most beautiful cars to emerge from Maranello in years.
