Beschreibung

In December 1957, the prototype of the 250 GT California emerged, coinciding with the production start of the 250 GT cabriolet by Pinin Farina. The California was essentially the convertible version of the 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione long wheelbase, sharing its chassis and engine. Only 50 units were produced. In 1960, the short version was launched, this time based on a 250 GT Berlinetta chassis.

Meanwhile, the 250 GT Pinin Farina coupe was introduced during a press conference in Milan in June 1958, prior to its public unveiling at the Paris Motor Show in October of the same year.

The model presented here is somewhat of a fusion of all these elements. Built on a 250 GT Pinin Farina chassis, it was meticulously crafted many years ago by the finest artisans in the industry. The bodywork was constructed by Mabert, a supplier for Ferrari Classiche. The 4.0-liter engine, in a pristine condition, was tuned by Sergio Rossi, considered as one of the greatest Ferrari mechanics of all time. Equipped with a soft top, this car also comes with an Italian registration document, clearly specifying the “open” body of a cabriolet.
