The Bentley Type S and Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I were unveiled in 1955. Magnificent proportions, exquisite construction and almost total silence - the traditional Bentley buyer couldn't ask for more. After the post-war Type R, this was the 2nd "all-steel" car to emerge from Crewe, with industrial bodywork set on a resolutely separate rectangular-section chassis. The front suspension was independent, and the rear shock absorbers could be adjusted from the driver's seat. The interior is extremely luxurious, with leather seats, a magnificent walnut dashboard and shelves in the seat backs, as well as beautifully crafted mirrors.
The example we're presenting came off the production line in 1957, and has the quality of being left-hand drive. In beautiful condition, it has recently received extensive mechanical work (steering pump, steering cylinder, master cylinders and hoses...). The grey paintwork is also new.
So this is a great opportunity for any enthusiast to acquire one of the most legendary sedans in British production.
