Appearing in September 1960, the estate version of the Mini was marketed under the name Countryman (for Austin) and Traveller (for Morris); it is based on the extended chassis of the Mini Van, with approximately 25 cm more length than the classic Mini.
Decorated with decorative woodwork, it acquires a rustic style sometimes nicknamed “Woody”, very popular with city dwellers and lovers of rural life.

The model we are presenting to you was sold new in France, it is a "flat roof" version (only on models up to 1965) which has been fully restored!

The biggest advantage of our Mini is undoubtedly the sliding metal sunroof, fitted at the dealership as an option (it's the first one we've had!).

Under the hood, we find the famous 850 with the "magic wand" gearbox, an engine that uses little fuel and is still valiant (we can push it to 120 km/h).

The interior is identical to the original and has also been completely redone.

Apparue dès septembre 1960, la version break de la Mini fut commercialisée sous le nom Countryman (pour Austin) et Traveller (pour Morris) ; elle repose sur le châssis rallongé du Mini Van, avec environ 25 cm de longueur en plus par rapport à la Mini classique.
Décorée de boiseries décoratives, elle acquiert un style rustique parfois surnommé « Woody », très prisé par les citadins et amateurs de ruralité.

Le modèle que nous vous présentons a été vendu neuf en France, c’est une version « flat roof » (uniquement sur les modèles jusqu’à 1965) qui a été intégralement restauré !

Le gros atout de notre Mini est sans aucun doute le toit ouvrant tôlé coulissant, monté chez le concessionnaire en option (c’est le premier que nous avons !).

Sous le capot, on retrouve le fameux 850 avec la boite « magic wand », moteur peu gourmand en carburant et tout de même vaillant (on arrive à le pousser à 120 km/h).

L’intérieur est conforme à celui d’origine, il a également été intégralement refait.
