Beschreibung
Estimated Price: £25,000 - £30,000 The B7-generation Audi RS4 arrived at a particularly memorable point in the development of the German performance car, an era when high-revving, naturally aspirated engines still ruled the roost. At its heart was Audi's remarkable 4.2-litre V8, producing 414bhp and 317lb.ft of torque, driving all four wheels through the marque's quattro system and, importantly, a six-speed manual gearbox.
Whilst the RS4 was perhaps best known in Avant form, the Cabriolet offered much the same formidable performance with the added appeal of open-air motoring. With its subtly muscular bodywork, flared wheelarches, large oval exhaust outlets and discreet RS detailing, it remains an impressively purposeful-looking motor car without being overly ostentatious.
Supplied new by Eastbourne Audi in 2006 at a cost of £63,873, this example is finished in Phantom Black Pearl Effect with a black fabric hood over Silver Nappa leather, piped in black and complemented by carbon-fibre inlays. A DVD player was fitted by the supplying dealership from new and the car sits on the correct 19-inch twin seven-spoke alloy wheels. The specification includes front and rear parking sensors, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, MMI infotainment with satellite navigation and a Bose sound system.
Of particular note is the remarkably low mileage and the fact that the car is reported to remain in unmodified condition. Its documented service history records maintenance by Audi main dealers and recognised specialists, suggesting that its limited use has not been at the expense of regular attention. That level of care has continued cosmetically. In October 2021, the bonnet, front wings and front bumper were protected with paint protection film, whilst the car was also detailed, machine-polished and ceramic-coated. The side skirts were subsequently PPF-protected in September 2022. Its most recent MOT was issued on 9th July 2026 at 20,594 miles, resulting in a pass with no advisories. The following day on 10th August 2026, the RS4 was serviced by Audi specialists Audi Doctor of Stockport at 20,618 miles.
The accompanying history file is particularly pleasing and clearly reflects the attention afforded to the RS4 over the years. It contains the owner's manual, service documentation and a substantial collection of invoices, many of which have even been individually laminated. The original service book appears to have been misplaced at some point, however a copy remains within the file carrying the earlier stamped service history from 2008 onwards. The car is also accompanied by its warning triangle, wind deflector and tyre inflator.
With its exceptionally modest mileage, well-documented maintenance history and reported unmodified condition, this is a particularly appealing example of Audi's charismatic B7 RS4 Cabriolet. The combination of that glorious naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8, a six-speed manual gearbox and quattro four-wheel drive belongs to a performance-car era that is unlikely to be repeated and, with the added attraction of open-top motoring, this handsome RS4 warrants serious consideration.
