R.S. Williams are proud to offer for sale this fine example of an early Aston Martin V8 Volante, presented in its handsome factory colour combination of Imperial Burgundy over Black Connolly hide and Black carpets.

The original factory record confirms that chassis V8COR/15085 was completed on 25th May 1979. Its sumptuous specification included Weber carburettors, automatic transmission, a Pioneer 9300 stereo and an Off White hood. The car is now complemented by a Black mohair hood, which suits the Imperial Burgundy bodywork and Black interior particularly well.

Ordered new by Gerald Grosvenor, the 6th Duke of Westminster, this Volante benefits from distinguished provenance. The car later became the personal vehicle of Richard and Carol Williams, remaining in their ownership for many years. During this time it was enjoyed as a family car and maintained with the depth of knowledge and attention naturally associated with R.S. Williams.

The car has now received decades-long care from our workshops, giving us an unusually close and detailed knowledge of its condition and history. Having covered just 34,900 miles from new, it remains a beautifully preserved and highly original example.

Under the bonnet sits its original V8 engine, number V/540/5085/S, breathing through Weber carburettors and paired with the standard-fitment automatic transmission. The photographs of the engine stamping correspond with the number recorded on both the chassis plate and original factory record.

Finished with its original-style alloy wheels, Black Connolly hide, finely figured wood veneers and factory air conditioning, the cabin remains an inviting and luxurious place from which to enjoy the effortless performance and open-air character of the V8 Volante.
