Beschreibung

"The Aston Martin V8 Coupé was introduced in 1996 as a development of the original Virage model. Powered by a revised version of the 32 valve 5.3 litre V8 engine, the V8 coupé was a much improved car due to the investment of the Ford Motor Company resources. The styling cues followed that of the Vantage but without bonnet vents and wide wheels. The distinguished look included a new mesh radiator grille and air intakes in the front spoiler, giving a purposeful aerodynamic stance. This model formed part of the Aston Martin range for just three years and is one of the rarer members of the modern V8 family. All the body panels are hand crafted in aluminium. Requiring ten Connolly hides, each luxurious interior could be tailored to individual tastes. Burr walnut is used for the facia panel, centre console and door cappings and the finest Wilton carpet for the floor covering. Amazingly, there are a minimum of twelve separate coats of paint applied to each complete body. There is also power assistance for the adjustment of the driver and front passenger seats. A sophisticated climate control system is provided together with a stereo, radio, cassette and CD player.
This three owner car has been in the tenure of the current vendor since 2004, it has a full service history and includes the reg plate V80 AML. This lovely and desirable example is one of the very last of the hand-built Aston Martins and was first registered by Grange Aston Martin as a demonstrator on 29th September 1999, it remained in their care until August the following year when it was sold to its first owner, Mr. Peter Bond. Mr. Bond owned the car for two years before selling it to Jonathan Durden who kept it for just over a year before it was registered in the name of a dealer, Lancaster Cars, who then in turn sold the car to the present owner. When in conversation with the previous registrar of the AMOC, the current owner discovered that the paint finish ordered when new, Montrose Blue, was a unique choice with this being the only Aston Martin of any model produced in that colour. The car’s interior, cream Connolly hide is in excellent condition as are the walnut door cappings and facia, as one would expect with such a low mileage example. There is a good service history with invoices and records showing proof of mileage. This fabulous Aston Martin looks stunning in its unique colour and in this condition, would grace any collection or be the pride of place at any show or just enjoyed on the open road."
