What hasn’t been written about the DB6? What a fantastic design. Probably one of the most beautiful cars ever made. In our case it doesn’t stay with looks alone, it is this particular version that adds to its cachet. We have a factory-supplied rare Vantage model. There are quite a few non-original ” Vantage specification” conversions around unlike this original one. The DB6 Vantage is more powerful than the usual DB6 with 330 Ps instead of 286 Ps. It made it the fastest GT of its day. A 4-litre straight-six with three twin Weber carburettors could only mean that it sounded great! The DB6 has a so-called rear Kamm-Tail making it a lot more stable at higher speeds in comparison to its predecessor the DB5. At its introduction, the DB6 was truly a car for the rich and famous. Price Charles had one, Paul McCartney, Mike Jagger, the model Twiggy and famous actor Peter Sellars also belonged to that exclusive list. This car was supplied in the UK as an Aston Martin DB6 Vantage. Since then it spent a long time in Australia before arriving in the Netherlands. She has benefitted from a respray in her original Dubonnet finish, the reupholstered interior trim is executed in Biscuit Conolly leather. A few years ago the engine was fully recommissioned, since when it has only been used sparingly. As you might expect this car is in excellent condition. The bodywork looks fabulous. The panelwork is nice and thin and correctly aligned. The state of its paintwork is very good with hardly any blemishes. The car’s inside is literally pristine and a prime example of top quality British understatement. The engine is attached to a 5-speed ZF manual, which works beautifully. This is one extremely well cared for Aston Martin DB6 Vantage in wonderful livery and great mechanical condition. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
