Beschreibung
Chassis No. ZAR16200003002274
Limitation No. 256/278
First registered in the United Kingdom in December 1996, this left-hand drive Alfa Romeo RZ, number 256, is one of the final 37 cars hand-built and sold by Zagato following the end of official production. Finished in black with a burgundy leather interior, the RZ, short for "Roadster Zagato," features two subtle humps behind the seats, reminiscent of Zagato's legendary double-bubble roof design, and is powered by an all-aluminum 3.0-liter V6, delivering 210 CV.
A comprehensive history file accompanies the car, documenting its ownership history and maintenance back to 1997, when it was serviced by Zagato Lancia in London, and including numerous MOT certificates from 1999 to 2011, the year the car crossed the Channel to Germany. There, it was registered to one of the founders of the Drivers & Business Club Germany.
Acquired by the consignor a decade ago, the car has been driven sparingly by its current owner, who has kept up its servicing and technical inspections, including a 2017 service by Formula GT Sportwagenservice München and a 2019 service at KFZ Technik Brandl in Pastetten. Brandl carried out further servicing, including replacement of the timing belt in August 2025.
Most recently, in August 2026, the RZ was serviced by M.R. Automobile in Günding and passed TÜV inspection, with the odometer showing 35,900 km. One of just 278 Alfa Romeo RZs produced, this hand-built Italian roadster offers a rare combination of distinctive Zagato styling, low mileage, and an extensive history file.
