Verde Medio, that is the name of this colour. It is also most probably the reason your clicked on this advert’s title, just to see the colour’s full name. Just so that you are fully in the picture, Alfa Romeo named it: Verde Medio AR223 in full. Whilst the car’s colour is infinitely attractive and alluring, it would sell the car short by just focusing on its finish. The car has been fully restored and mechanically overhauled in the recent past. The work was not only extremely thorough but also meticulously carried out by pure experts. The Alfa Romeo Montreal is a Marcello Gandini masterpiece whilst working for the Bertone Studio. It is undoubtable one of his finest designs. Our car was first supplied in Belgium in 1972.

The restoration included taking the bodywork back to bare metal and restoring it in top-quality fashion. The nice and thin panelwork aligns perfectly wherever you look. As expected the car has retained its original rims, resprayed and shod in good and correctly sized rubber. The

chrome brightwork splendidly accentuates the fantastic design. The front spoiler has been resprayed in regulation black, adding to the car’s tough charm. The new exhaust kept those typical downward pointing tailpipes.

Inside the car is just as attractive. The seat have a lovely “Avana Beige” cloth covering. There are new carpets and matts. All in all it leaves you with a fantastic impression. The seats have been refilled providing superb comfort. The gorgeous looking dashboard also benefitted in no small way from being refurbished. The fine instrument cluster and controls are all in good working order. The headlining has been replaced. The boot cover is also in very good condition and has a smooth action. The Montreal was intended as a proper Grand Tourer and offers ample space to occupants and their luggage. It is typically a car that prefers to be driven along at 160 km/hr rather than at 80 km/hr.

The Montreal has a V8 2.6 litre engine with Spica fuel injection. The engine develops 200 Ps and is coupled to a manual 5-speed gearbox. The Montreal reaches speeds of up to 220 km/hr with zero to 100 km/hr in 7.1 seconds. These were very impressive than and are still quite respectable. That is the overwhelming feeling the Montreal leaves you with. A well tuned Montreal is a total joy to drive. You are able to have a laidback drive whilst still being able to tackle any mountain route with ample power. The transmission is precise and smooth, the suspension ironing out any large lumps and bumps in the road. The suspension and brakes were fully replaced and the engine taken apart down to the last screw. An expert professionally rebuilt the engine leaving us with a smooth running engine with just that little bit more power than originally.

The car comes with a file containing everything you want to know about the restoration together with invoices. In addition there is a so-called Certificate Origine from Alfa Romeo confirming the correct colour finish. A gorgeous looking vehicle that drives you stylishly from place to place in fantastic fashion.
