This happens to be one of them. From the moment you turn the key and hear the Jenvey throttle bodies bust into life, to the first turn of the unassisted yet light steering wheel, you’re hooked.

There’s a reason the Alfa 2000 GTV is adored by petrol heads the world-over, and its simply because they drive so well, and look great, and sound great! I could go on.

When you add to this the excellent modifications carried out the highly regarded Ian Ellis Alfa specialist, and a specification that was carefully selected by arguably the UK’s most iconic car designer, its easy to see why this car is so appealing.

When Ian Callum specified this car in 2019, he went ‘all out’. Having a new 2.0l Twin Spark race engine controlled by Jenvey throttle bodies and an ECU to bring the performance and usability right up-to date.

The handling was also improved by the fitment of a stage two handling kit that included new dampers, bushes, wider wheels, and more recently the Alfaholics quick steering arms. Braking is taken care of by ATE four pot front calipers and larger sport brake discs.

The bodyshell was also completely rebuilt, which presents beautifully with the underside being as clean as the top.
