Beschreibung

Coming from a noteworthy California collection of early American motorcycles, this Knucklehead was prized for its correctness and originality, along with the ideal 1938 configuration.

This Knucklehead was found and purchased in Texas by Dan Pereyra, who’s discerning taste appreciated the quality of this particular example. Pereyra, a well-regarded collector (and restorer of bikes for his own account) is perhaps best known for early American bikes. Pereyra also has a strong interest in unrestored, preservation bikes.

The ’38 Knucklehead stands out as a unique and desirable example of Harley’s legendary model. Harley changed many details both going into the ’38 model year and shortly after, so to those who know what to look for this particular bike proves highly authentic.

Acquired directly from Pereyra’s collection some years ago, the Harley has been well maintained by Tom Holthaus and further benefits from occasional use (approximately 57 miles has been added since its restoration). For the collector who appreciates quality, but also enjoys riding their bikes, this ’38 Knucklehead is a notable example of a hard to find, original Harley.
