Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland, No. 1912. Made for the Turkish market, circa 1900.
Fine and very rare, hunting-cased, 18K gold, independently adjustable two time-
zone keyless pocket watch with Réaumur thermometer,day of the week,date and
independent center-seconds.
Four-body, "bassine", solid, polished, gold hinged cuvette.
White enamel, two meantime dials, the first with radial Roman numerals, the
second with Islamic numerals, White enamel, two subsidiary dials for days of the
week and months (in Arabic),blue steel spade hamds and blue steel fleur-de-lis
hands for the dual time, thermometer sector at 6 in Réaumur centigrade.,
45mm. rhodium plated, 33 jewels, two-train, straight-line lever escapement,
cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index
regulator.
