Don't miss these 12 major classic car events in 2022

While there’s always uncertainty around which events will actually take place in the New Year, we’ve still booked out our calendars for these twelve eagerly-awaited landmark events in 2022.

Rétromobile Paris, February 2-6

The traditional Parisian classic show Rétromobile, with its dealer stands, special exhibitions, and auctions, is the European starting line for the year and a yardstick for the collector car market. Fingers crossed it's able to go ahead.

The Ice St. Moritz, February 26th

“The Ice” has been particularly unfortunate in the face of the pandemic, with the previous two events being cancelled. Now, the organisers hope to finally host their elegant winter concours on the frozen lake of St. Moritz. Classic Driver will be helping out behind the scenes.

Goodwood Members’ Meeting, April 9-11

For many racing drivers and fans of historic motorsport, the intimate Goodwood Members’ Meeting is the highlight of the British racing calendar. We are no exception and can’t wait for the 79th edition.

Tour Auto, April 25-30

The Tour de France Automobile, or “Tour Auto” for short, is one of the last major road races and a must for many racing drivers from all over Europe. After two editions taking place in September, the fast-paced tour of France will now take place in April and - surprise! - end in Andorra.

Monaco Grand Prix Historique, May 13-15

The Monaco Grand Prix Historique, which takes place every two years, is like a birthday and Christmas at the same time for Formula 1 enthusiasts. We hope that the legendary road race can take place once more in 2022 with fans from all over the world in attendance.

Concorso d‘Eleganza Villa d’Este & Fuoriconcorso, May 20-22

After the autumn edition last year, the Concorso d‘Eleganza Villa d’Este will return to the shores of Lake Como in 2022 at the end of May. We are excited to see the largest and most traditional automotive beauty contest in Europe return to its usual location. Let’s not forget that another edition of the Fuoriconcorso is also planned for the same weekend in the vicinity of Villa d'Este.

Mille Miglia, June 15-18

Perhaps the most legendary road race on the calendar, the “1000 Miglia” will take place once more this June on Italy's country roads. Even if the fast-paced tour from Brescia to Rome and back is now dominated by the sponsors, everyone should experience it at least once in their lifetime.

Goodwood Festival of Speed, June 23-26

Every year the Goodwood Festival of Speed proves that our love for cars knows no bounds. It doesn't matter whether it's monstrous pre-war machines, formula racing cars from the 1970s, or futuristic hybrid slingshots that are firing up the mountain in Goodwood - the spectacle is always unique.

Le Mans Classic, June 30th - July 3rd

The Le Mans legend is alive - and in 2022 we will finally be able to conjure up the spirits of the great race on the Circuit de la Sarthe at a new edition of the Le Mans Classic. We’re also excitedly looking further ahead to 2023, when the 100th birthday of the world-famous 24-hour race will be celebrated at the Le Mans Classic “Centennary Edition”.

Monterey Car Week & Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, August 15-21

In mid-August, the Californian Pacific coast around Monterey will yet again be transformed into the epicentre of the American, and if all goes well, the global collector car scene too. Of course, as with every year the highlight will be the illustrious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Salon Prive & Concours of Elegance, August 31st - September 4th

On the first weekend in September, the British car scene traditionally ends its summer break at the Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace and the royal Concours of Elegance on the Hampton Court Palace estate.

Goodwood Revival, September 16-18

It was a gift that we were finally able to be back in Goodwood last September to listen to the roar of the racing cars and Spitfire engines in the midst of a contemporary crowd. Our tickets are already booked 2022, how about you?
