Founded in 1902, part of General Motors since 1910, builds dream cars in the luxury premium segment. Cadillac stands for precision and quality and was named after the southwestern French town of Cadillac on the Gironde River.
To prove the manufacturing precision of his company, Henry Martyn Leland, the founder of Cadillac, had three Cadillacs completely disassembled in Great Britain in 1908. The parts were mixed together. Mechanics then reassembled the cars from the unsorted parts and performed a 500-mile test drive on the Brooklands circuit with no problems.
Based on this success, the company motto evolved into: "Standard of the World."

The name Biarritz emphasized the elegance of the Eldorado, inspired by the French chic of the 1950s.

In 1961, Bill Mitchell, a protégé of Harley Earl, was hired to design the new Eldorado. He moved away from flamboyant fins and extravagant chrome to create a more refined profile with reshaped fins, a split grille and custom fender skirts. The advanced new aesthetic was combined with the 390 cc V8 engine and Hydra-Matic transmission that produced an impressive 325 horsepower.
This Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was purchased in 2013 in the Netherlands by the seller's father to complete his Cadillac collection.
The car was in need of an overhaul, but the restoration kept being postponed due to other tasks.
After the seller's father passed away, he decided to restore the car in memory of his father.
