Description

"The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin.
Originally registered on 18th August 2016, this outstanding Land Rover presents in completely unmarked condition and has covered just 107 miles from new. The black coachwork is gleaming having just been professionally detailed and the interior equally as pristine. Look under the car and it is clear this 90 XS TD has not been on the road and has been exceedingly well cared for. The XS was a well-equipped vehicle from the factory with alloy wheels and air conditioning as standard. This example also has a towbar fitted and grey leather trim. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full years MoT test certificate, viewing is recommended to appreciate the stunning condition of this Land Rover. Production of these classic shape Defenders stopped in 2016 and prices have steadily risen on good examples since, this one is sure to appeal to investors given the condition and mileage."
