Description

In 2014, Mercedes-Benz showed a concept variant of its venerable W-463 Geländewagen called the “Extreme-G”. Featuring a revised suspension system that utilized portal axles suspended by two coil-over shock absorbers at each wheel, ground clearance was increased by 7.9" over a standard G500. Positive public reaction to the concept spurred Mercedes-Benz to create a production variant of the vehicle, which was introduced as the G500 4x4 Squared in 2015. For the 2017 model year, Mercedes-Benz brought its uber G-Class to the US, now badged as the G550 4x4 Squared. Approximately 300 were sold in North America, including the one-owner example shown here.

According to a CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this 2017 G550 4x4 Squared was sold new to its California-based owner by Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood, Washington in July 2017. Despite its approximately 1,100 miles from new, regular maintenance was performed by factory and independent shops including an oil and filter service by Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills in January 2021.

Finished in striking Manganite Gray/Sintered Bronze Magno over a black leather and Alcantara interior, this understated livery is accentuated by numerous carbon fiber accents inside and out, including the massive fender flares. Sumptuously equipped, the 4x4 Squared is otherwise ready for the most challenging off-road conditions imaginable, and like all G-Class models, is fitted with front, center, and rear locking differentials. Accompanied by accessories and manuals, this one-owner and low-mileage G550 4x4 Squared is ready to take its new owner on any rural or urban adventure.
