Description

One of the 158 officially imported UK cars
Power steering
Borrani wire wheels

Delivered to first owner by Maranello Concessionaires as the 153rd of 158 cars.

The car had 4 UK owners up untill the mid 80's whereupon it was bought by Mr Jim Wallace, chairman of the Otford Group who owned Graypaul Motors in Leicestershire. The conversion to Spyder was overseen by Ivan Bishop former technical director of Maranello Concessionaires Ltd and now managing director of Graypaul, where over a two-year period 1987-89 it was restored.

The work included a full engine rebuild and a body conversion to Spyder configuration. The work was carried out by the highly regarded Kevin O’Rourke of Mototechnique Ltd of Chertsey in Surrey, modifying not only the body, but also the chassis to increase strength and rigidity. Graypaul carrying out all the mechanical work and re assembly.

Some £50,000 was spend on the car at a time when a Daytona could have been bought for a similar figure. Invoices for the work and photographs are included in the history file.

Ready for a new custodian to event, tour or simply enjoy some vigorous V12 open top motoring.
