<p>Dr. Richard Riddell was a fixture in the greater US Bugatti society for over 50 years. He attended countless Bugatti Club tours and events, and also served as a class judge at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® for over 35 years. Dr. Riddell was a great friend to Gooding &amp; Company prior to his passing in 2020, and his wife Bobbie is pleased that his model collection, assembled over numerous decades, will now move on to appreciative new homes. Over his lifetime, Dr. Riddell had numerous Bugattis in his collection, including Types 13, 35, 40, and 57.</p>
<p>This lot includes Bugatti Owners’ Club rally participation plates, 1973 and 1979; cast aluminum Bugatti oval logo in relief, 9 5/8&quot; wide; reproduction Bugatti porcelain radiator badge; two reproduction unstamped Bugatti chassis plates; two rear leaf spring medallions (one is stamped &quot;35C 4872&quot;); diecast model of Bugatti Model 100 aircraft; and Bugatti-style miniature steering wheel, approximate size for a Type 52 Bugatti child’s car, appears to be olive wood and steel, 14 1/4&quot; diameter.</p>
