Description

"After 25 years from the introduction of the first-generation Range Rover, the second-generation Range Rover, the P38, was introduced for the 1995 model year with an updated version of the Rover V8 engines. There was also the option of a 2.5 litre, BMW, six-cylinder, turbo-diesel. This was a result of BMW's subsequent ownership of the Rover Group and hence the Land Rover brand. The new model offered more equipment and premium trims, positioning the vehicle above the Land Rover Discovery to face the increased competition in the SUV marketplace. This model was the last to feature the Rover V8 and interior leather supplied by Connolly and the first model to feature satellite navigation as an option.
Originally registered on 4th September 1996 and showing only 32,000 miles from new, this P38 Range Rover is finished in Rioja Red with Lightstone leather interior and walnut facings. Factory fitted with the 2.5 litre, BMW derived diesel engine and four-speed automatic gearbox, this Range Rover presents in excellent order throughout. The body is unmarked and the interior as almost 'as new' with the car driving as a car of this mileage should. There cannot be many other 22-year-old Range Rovers in such condition. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate, one for the future?"
