Description

"The Chevelle came out in 1964 to fill the gap between the big Chevrolet and other compacts produced by the ‘Big Three’, GM, Ford and Chevrolet. Malibu was the premium Chevelle just as Impala was the premium Chevy. Power came through a 283ci, V8 motor rated at 220bhp. Uprated ‘SS’ models represent the signature performance option package on a limited number of its vehicles with all ‘SS’ models coming with distinctive markings on their exterior as well as other design cues. These cars were built in a number of factories around the world, mostly in the US of course but also, as in this case, in Bienne, Switzerland (hence the speedometer in km).
Presented in Ermine White with a contrasting red vinyl interior with correct bucket seats, and new red tufted carpets (correct for this model), this SS is top of the range and benefits from power windows all round, power brakes, power steering and a centre console gear change connected to a three-speed automatic gearbox. The hood is motorised and in ‘as new’ condition. The bodywork is ‘arrow straight’ with good chromework and a full brake overhaul. It also benefits from a new and complete twin exhaust system, correct hubcaps and new belts with invoices showing over 93 hours of work including a full respray and detailing nearly £18,200 spent in recent months. The underside is just as good as the topside and, complete with a full 12 month MoT test certificate, will turn heads wherever she goes!"
