According to the information provided by Alfa Romeo Centro Documentazione, this original Iseo Light Blue Giulietta Sprint with chassis no. AR 350213 and engine series AR 00102 was manufactured on 15 February 1962 and sold on 6 March 1962 to Alfa Romeo Inc., Newark, USA.
It is believed that this gorgeous Dolce Vita sports car has spent most—if not all—of its life around Los Angeles in California until it was sourced there and imported to Holland about 10 years ago.

Sometime, long ago, during this life at the Golden State, the car was repainted and work on the interior had been done. The car came fitted with an earlier-type five-speed gearbox, either a transplant or a period conversion made with a factory-offered kit. The body of this Alfa Romeo did benefit from the favourable climate and survived more sound than average. Together with the rare original iconic colour and original engine, this was one of the reasons the current owner acquired this Sprint. In 2014, he decided to bring her back to her former glory with some reversible upgrades for more reliable daily use. These included a modern alternator instead of a dynamo, a spin-off oil filter and fitting an overhauled Solex PAIA carburettor instead of the Solex APAI-G. Several parts, like the original dynamo, oil filter mount and air cleaner housing are supplied with the car.

The completely documented rejuvenation started with a full disassembly of the car by a specialised Alfa Romeo workshop where all technical parts were inspected and serviced. All paint layers except the underbody-coating were mechanically sanded from the body to bare metal. This revealed that the front wings were absolutely spotless. The surfacing sheet-metal issues like replacing the boot floor were professionally addressed. After the body had been prepared and resprayed, the reassembly was undertaken with the usage of reconditioned original parts or many original-quality new parts. The list is far too long to mention. As an example, the new wiring harness was sourced from the original parts supplier in Italy, as were the rubbers for the Carello headlights. The brightwork was polished and the original radiator grille parts re-chromed. Once the car was back together, a well-known Dutch rally car preparer thoroughly tuned the engine and proficiently sorted occurring issues. Nach Informationen aus dem Alfa Romeo Centro Documentazione wurde diese Giulietta Sprint mit Fahrgestellnummer AR 350213 und Motornummer AR 00102 am 15. Februar 1962 in hellblau iseo hergestellt und am 6. März 1962 an Alfa Romeo Inc, in Newark/New Jersey in den USA verkauft.

Man nimmt an, dass dieser wunderschöne Sportwagen die meiste – wenn nicht die ganze – Zeit seines Lebens in der Gegend um Los Angeles in Kalifornien zugebracht hat, und dass er von dort vor zehn Jahren in die Niederlande exportiert wurde.

Irgendwann vor langer Zeit im Golden State wurde der Wagen einmal neu lackiert und Arbeiten am Innenraum durchgeführt. Das Fahrzeug verfügt über ein Fünfganggetriebe eines früheren Typs, entweder ein späterer Umbau oder ein zeitgenössischer mit Hilfe eines Umbausatzes vom Werk. Die Karosserie dieses Alfa Romeo profitierte vom günstigen kalifornischen Klima und überstand die Jahre besser als der Durchschnitt. Die sehr seltene Originalfarbe und der Originalmotor waren einige der Gründe, warum der heutige Besitzer diese Giulietta erworben hatte. 2014 entschied er sich, ihr zu früherem Glanz zu verhelfen und dabei eine Verbesserung der Alltagstauglichkeit anzustreben, wobei alle Umbauten reversibel sind. Dazu gehören eine moderne Lichtmaschine, ein geänderter Luftfilter sowie ein überholter Solex Vergaser vom Typ PAIA anstatt des originalen Solex APAI-G. Eine Reihe von Bauteilen, wie die originale Lichtmaschine, Ölfilter und Luftfiltergehäuse, befinden sich beim Fahrzeug.

Die komplett dokumentierte Verjüngungskur begann mit der vollständigen Demontage des Fahrzeugs durch eine spezialisierte Alfa Romeo Werkstatt, bei der alle technischen Bauteile inspiziert und gewartet wurden. Alle aufgebrachten Lackschichten außer dem Unterbodenschutz wurden bis auf das blanke Metall entfernt und bestätigten, dass die vorderen Kotflügel makellos waren. Metallarbeiten wie der Ersatz des Kofferraumbodens wurden professionell mit vielen Teilen in Originalqualität durchgeführt. Die Liste dieser Teile ist zu lang, um sie hier aufzuführen. Zum Beispiel wurde ein neuer Kabelbaum vom originalen Lieferanten in Italien besorgt, wie auch die Gummidichtungen für die Carello-Scheinwerfer. Der Chrom wurde poliert und der Originalkühlergrill neu verchromt. Nach der Montage befasste sich ein bekannter holländischer Rallye-Präparator umfassend mit dem Motor und eliminierte alle ausstehenden Probleme. Zu den Unterlagen gehören auch Fotos und eine Dokumentation der durchgeführten Arbeiten.
