Many consider the Corniche Drophead Coupé to be one of the most beautiful Rolls-Royce models built. What began life as a version of the Silver Shadow, first introduced in 1967, was named the Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward Drophead Coupé. It was replaced with the simple yet elegant Corniche name in 1971. The Series III Corniche was introduced at the 1989 Frankfurt Auto Show, boasting updates from the previous model including new wheels, body coloured bumpers, a revised suspension system and front air bags.

This Series III Corniche was originally delivered to the U.S. and was at some point exported to Japan. It remained there until 2016 when it was purchased and exported to Switzerland by the consignor. Accompanied by its original owner’s manuals, its gorgeous “triple white” with red carpets and piping exudes luxury and presents beautifully throughout, perhaps the perfect colour scheme for places like the French Riviera or Miami Beach. The most luxurious convertible in the world upon its release, this Corniche III would make the perfect companion for relaxing, roof down summer drives.

Für viele gehört das Corniche Drophead Coupé zu den schönsten Rolls-Royce Modellen aller Zeiten. Bei der Vorstellung 1967 hieß dieser offene Rolls-Royce noch Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward Drophead Coupé, ein Name, der erst 1971 durch Corniche ersetzt wurde. Die dritte Corniche Serie wurde 1989 auf der IAA vorgestellt und verfügte über eine Reihe neuer Features, darunter neue Räder, Stoßfänger in Wagenfarbe, ein verbessertes Fahrwerk und Frontairbags.

Dieses Exemplar wurde ursprünglich in die USA geliefert und anschließend nach Japan exportiert. Dort verblieb es bis 2016, als es der heutige Besitzer erstand und in die Schweiz exportierte.
