Description

"Produced by Rover in 1996 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first iconic Mini Cooper in 1961, the Mini Cooper LE was painted in Almond Green or red with white roof, a full Porcelain Green leather interior and air conditioning. The cars were powered by the reliable 1.3 single-point fuel injected engine.
This car is completely original other than an aftermarket exhaust and it has covered less than 59,000 miles. Totally rust-free, we are told the car has been exceptionally well cared for with everything running as it should. The original rare aluminium roof rack is included in the sale. Imported back into the UK from Japan in 2008, the car has the original polished walnut dash.
This example lived in Japan for the first 12 years of its life where climatic conditions and Japanese culture were both very good to the car. A dry temperate climate (without the need for road salt) makes for great body condition. The car was also subject to the strict Japanese Shaken government road-tests which get stricter as the car gets older. Upon its return from Japan, the car was dry stored within a collection of Minis in Ireland by the same owner over the last ten years. During this time, the car was used regularly but only limited miles were driven.  The car comes supplied with a year’s MOT test certificate with no advisories."
