Historics at Brooklands serves up a wildly mixed classic car cocktail

Historics at Brooklands will round out its successful 2016 in fine style this weekend, with its 142-lot November Sale. We’ve chosen our favourites…

For its fourth and final sale of 2016, Historics at Brooklands will hope to continue its impressive run of results already achieved this year. Taking place on 26 November, the 142-lot catalogue is as diverse as they come, featuring everything from three-wheeled micro-car curios to exotic Italian supercars.

The low-mileage 2002 Aston Martin Vanquish serves as a reminder of the sheer beauty of Ian Callum’s design, and its £65,000-75,000 estimate is equally easy to swallow – a future classic? We certainly think so. Elsewhere there is an ultra-rare 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG offered with no reserve, a plastic-fantastic 1988 Ford Escort XR3i affectionately dubbed the ‘Rattlesnake’ (est. £24,000-28,000), and what looks to be a fine example of Bristol’s first car, the 400, estimated at a reasonable £30,0000-40,000. You can find our 10 favourites from the sale below or, alternatively, browse the entire catalogue in the Classic Driver Market
