ROCOCO REVIVAL BOULLE CLOCK
Armingaud A Paris, movement No. 1345. Made circa 1890.
Fine, Louis XV-style ormolu-mounted tortoiseshell and gilt-
brass, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking mantel clock.
Waisted case overlaid with cut brass and tortoiseshell,
chased gilt-brass foliate scroll mounts, glazed aperture to
view the pendulum, paw feet, seated cherub finial with a
pair of symbols.
White enamel with radial blue Roman numerals, outer
minute track and large Arabic five-minute numerals. Gilt-
brass Louis XV hands.
Circular gilt-brass plates, going train for both barrels,
anchor escapement, spring suspension, gilt-brass sunburst
pendulum with applied bronzed fly, outside countwheel
striking on a bell.
