Richard Mille’s Erotic Tourbillon whispers naughty suggestions

While you might not associate fine timepieces with eroticism, it's actually not a new idea. Richard Mille’s new and highly complicated limited-edition Tourbillon RM 69 whispers lascivious remarks to its wearer, or indeed its wearer’s partner…

While the ‘watchmakers’ at Apple preach puritanical decency and have (officially, at least) banned any adult content on the company's smart watch, you can rely on Richard Mille for a more daring interpretation. The limited RM 69 Erotic Tourbillon promises to reveal your most secret desires, with sinful slogans such as ‘Let me kiss you tonight’, ‘I want to caress you madly’ or ‘I long to arouse your nipples’ displayed on its three titanium rollers.

Naturally, the brand has good reason to defend its new watch, and we're told that erotic watches are part of watchmaking history. Designers of the past have played with similar themes by mechanically creating suggestive scenes and, because they broke the conservative moral, religious and political customs of the day, the objects they created were often banned or confiscated. But, as with all forbidden love, their pleasure was enjoyed away from prying eyes.
